FAQ - Example of Geocoding

Question:  I searched for a zip code and in the search results, a location in a different zip code came up first in front of a location in the same location I searched for. What's wrong with my locator?

Answer:  In all likelihood, nothing is wrong.  When you search by zip code, Xtreme Locator assigns lat/long coordinates approximating the center of the zip code entered.  From that approximated center, it is quite possible that a location in another zip code will be closer.
